After endless amounts of time spent drawing, re-drawing, discussing, thinking, erasing, erasing and more erasing, we've finally decided on a brand logo. This wasn't easy, but luckily, our friends and family were a huge help in deciding. Together, Brian and I can take forever trying to make a really big decision like this. I think it's because we know it's so huge so we can't commit to one. It took us at least 3 days after Mila was born before we had finally decided on her name, haha!
We feel great about our decision. It includes a font that we both love along with my handwriting. We wanted the logo to have something that was apart of us, modern mixed with classic, and something that couldn't be replicated. I think the logo fits our vision for the brand really well. We've thought about how we could expand the brand using this font/logo and feel that it can take us far!
Now that we've finally decided on our logo, which is HUGE for us, I mean, it represents our brand and who we are! I can now tell you a little more about our actual brand. I know a lot of you may think that Mila James came directly from our little Mila but Mila's middle name is actually NOT James. While I love how Mila James sounds, I had to give her an Indian middle name to represent her mama. James is my husband's middle name. Since I love the combo so much, I thought this was the perfect name for our brand and it incorporates two people I love the most (awww).
Mila James is here to offer your littles classic styles for everyday fun! I love using classic pieces with a mix of prints to create different styles. My favorite is a mix of boho and edgy, so you may find a piece or two that have a boho flare or an edgy detail. If you are looking for huge bows, ruffles and foofy stuff, you won't find much here. I do love all the girly stuff but I can only take so much, haha! You will see some feminine prints, silhouettes, small amounts of ruffles, and pink here and there, but it won't be in your face girly. Don't get me wrong, our pieces can totally be styled to be super girly and cute! We have a very versatile collection that will definitely work for any little babe out there looking to capture any style! I'm ready to share any and all styling tips I have to all you momma's out there!
